Welcome back and thank you for helping Smash Cakes' business grow at a crazy pace. We've been so busy filling orders that we haven't had time to keep up with the blog. Let's start with the pictures, from top to bottom.
First is our Lemon Drop Cupcake. It's a lemon cupcake dipped in a lemon simple syrup and topped with a vodka buttercream. A refreshing and intoxicating treat just in time for summer.
Next one down is our Creamy Snatch Cupcake. Alread one of our most popular treats. Based on the creamy snatch cocktail as well as......well nevermind. Anyway, it is a cafe mocha cupcake soaked in amaretto liqueur filled with a butterscotch ganache. Topped with an kahlua and drizzled with butterscotch.
That brings us to another instant classic, our Screaming Orgasm. This is a chocolate/almond cupcake filled with a white chocolate ganache and topped with a amaretto/vodka buttercream. The name is fitting because one bite of this thing will make you have a............well nevermind.
On the way down is another exotic treat right in time for the warm weather. Our instantly popular Blue Hawaiian Cupcake. This is a coconut cupcake with real pineapple chunks inside and topped with a blue curacao/light rum/coconut rum buttercream and sprinkled with toasted coconut flakes. As delicious as it is beautiful.
Last but not least is our Mudslide Cupcake. A cafe mocha cupcake double soaked in irish cream and topped with a kahlua/chocolate glaze. Messy but worth the clean up!
We've also made a sex on the beach cupcake by popular demand. Pictures coming soon, but you can just imagine how pretty a cranberry cupcake filled with grand marnier whipped cream and topped with a vodka/peach schnapps buttercream. As good as sex on the beach, sans the sand in your unmentionables.
Keep checking us out on twitter (@smashcakes814) for upcoming contests and promotions and definitely like us on facebook @ Smash Cakes because we have a facebook contest coming up really soon where you can win free smash cakes. As always, thank you for your support and come back regularly for updates.

We've been staying real busy with trying to get the smash cakes brand out there this week. We'll soon have smash cakes merchandise and will soon be offering cupcake cakes, which are cake size cupcakes, perfect for special occasions. Ofcourse we've been busy creating our delicious cupcakes too. Pictured above is our amaretto sour cupcake. It's a sweet and sour cupcake with and amaretto liqueur buttercream topped with amaretto liqueur soaked almond slivers. We've also made the mai tai, fuzzy navel, and our strongest cupcake to date....the long island iced tea cupcake. This stiff one is an iced tea cupcake with a gin/vodka/rum/tequila buttercream. And trust me, we weren't skimpy with the liquids on this one at all. We have plenty of cupcakes on deck too, like a 99 bananas cupcake which is a peanut butter cupcake with a 99 bananas icing, and a red headed velvet slut. This one is sure to be popular. It's a red velvet cupcake with a red headed slut icing. And always remember that we can customize cupcakes and can turn your favorite cocktail into a delicious cupcake. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org for requests as well as orders, and you can always hit us up on facebook and on twitter (@smashcakes814). Have a great weekend and we'll have more treats for you next week.

So we decided that we would try a new flavor every day this week. Ya know, trying to see what works and what doesn't. Thus far, everything is working! I mean you really cannot go wrong with alcohol, sugar, and more alcohol! I had never tried Sambuca but, Brian promised that it would be a great combination with coffee. We tried a great Kenyan blend coffee cupcake and made a Sambuca based buttercream. It was wonderful! The licorice flavor from the Sambuca really did make a great combination with the coffee We coated some of the coffee beans with chocolate and used it as a garnish. I have to admit the chocolate covered coffee bean adds a really nice bite!

So we have our vision and our company name and a blog (stickers coming soon), but we're just in the testing phase of the cupcakes. We made a very successful batch of guinness cupcakes with cocoa/baileys irish cream filling and baileys irish cream buttercream frosting just in time for St. Patty's day. We have plenty of bottles of liquor and endless ideas for our drunken cupcakes. You may see a 99 bananas cupcake. You might see a sambuca or grand marnier cupcake. You may also see a margarita cupcake or an amaretto sour cupcake. You may see all of them. Who knows? We do know that the possibilities are endless though and we're excited about all the time we'll be spending creating smashcakes. If you want to see your favorite drink made into a cupcake, just email us at email@example.com. Once we take some pictures of cupcakes you'll be able to follow us on facebook too. We thank everyone for their support and don't forget to eat away the pain with smashcakes.
